Youth Football Development Program

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Youth Football Development Program is designed for young athletes interested in learning football fundamentals in a structured, non-competitive environment. This program emphasizes safe tackling techniques, skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship while fostering a love for the game in a positive, inclusive setting.


The program consists of weekly skill-building sessions, a midseason community outreach event, and an end-of-season Youth Sports Combine, where participants showcase their progress.

SOME HIGHLIGHTS

Skill Development Training – Focus on passing, catching, tackling (with dummies), conditioning, and game strategy

📣 Midseason Outreach Event (April) – Hosted in collaboration with Burrell School District & the Pittsburgh Steelers, featuring mindfulness training and wellness education

🏆 Youth Sports Combine (June) – Participants receive custom jerseys, cleats, and essential gear, with an awards ceremony recognizing individual progress

💪 Focus on Fundamentals & Fun – Learn football skills in a supportive, non-competitive environment

🤝 Teamwork & Leadership Building – Develop confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  • Open to boys and girls aged 6–13
  • No prior football experience required
  • Must commit to attending weekly sessions (March–May)
  • All equipment provided – participants must wear comfortable athletic attire
  • No cost to participate – Donations accepted but not required
